Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Finding and Selling Them

Path of Exile 2 boasts a wealth of quests, but some remain hidden, never appearing in your quest log. This is true for the five Golden Idols scattered throughout Act 3. While labeled "Quest Items," their function is unique. Unlike typical quest items, collecting them doesn't trigger a new quest entry. Instead, these idols are valuable trade goods, each fetching a substantial sum of gold.

Locating the Golden Idols

After completing the initial sections of Act 3 and exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment, a portal will transport you to the past, specifically Utzaal – the Drowned City in the present day. This journey takes you to the height of Vaal civilization.

The Golden Idols are hidden within Utzaal and the connected area of Aggorat. They aren't dropped by enemies; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in side rooms.

Cashing In Your Idols

Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and locate Oswald, situated in the northern part of the area. He's your buyer. Each idol commands a hefty price:

• Golden Idol: 500 Gold
• Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
• Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
• Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
• Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Finding all five yields a tidy 6000 gold. Given their size and sole purpose as valuable sellables, it's advisable to return to the encampment and sell them immediately to free up inventory space.
