Rockstar has announced a delay for Grand Theft Auto 6, moving its release to May 26, 2026. The game was previously scheduled for Fall 2025.

While Rockstar's announcement confirms the revised GTA 6 release schedule, it did not include any new media, meaning fans must continue waiting for the second official trailer. The statement also omits specific launch platforms, fueling speculation that GTA 6 could launch simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in May 2026.

"There is always a possibility of schedule adjustments, and I believe making absolute statements can inadvertently risk the timeline," commented Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Rockstar's parent company Take-Two, in a prior conversation with IGN regarding the Fall 2025 target.
