"Guide to Obtaining Falcon Mount in FFXIV"
Mounts are a coveted collectible in *Final Fantasy XIV*, with some being particularly challenging to acquire. Among these, the Falcon mount stands out as a rare gem, available only during special events. If you're eager to add this classic mount to your collection, here's a comprehensive guide on how to obtain the Falcon mount in *FFXIV*.
What is the Falcon Mount in FFXIV?
*Final Fantasy XIV* boasts an extensive array of mounts, with the *Dawntrail* expansion adding to the hundreds already available for players to unlock and enjoy across Eorzea and beyond. The Falcon mount, however, is particularly notable for its rarity and the unique method required to obtain it.
Originally introduced during the Fly the Falcon Mount campaign to celebrate the *Stormblood* expansion's release in Summer 2017, the Falcon mount was a reward for players who maintained a subscription for at least 90 days during the campaign. Once the campaign concluded, the mount became unobtainable, leaving many newer players disappointed as they missed out on this exclusive reward.
How to Get the Falcon Mount in FFXIV
Fortunately, a new avenue has opened up for acquiring this elusive mount. The recurring Moogle Treasure Trove event offers players a chance to earn various sought-after rewards, including the **Falcon Ignition Key**. This event allows participants to earn rewards by completing a variety of in-game duties, from standard quests to engaging in GATEs at the Gold Saucer in Ul’dah.
To maximize your chances, you can also tackle special challenges listed in the Mogpendium, such as weekly challenges and the one-time Ultimog challenge per event. Completing these tasks will earn you Tomestones of Phantasmagoria, the event's currency. You can then exchange these Tomestones with the Initerant Moogle NPC, located in all three main cities, for the Falcon mount, which requires **50 x Tomestones of Phantasmagoria**.
The current Moogle Treasure Trove Phantasmagoria event is scheduled to run until the release of Patch 7.2 on **March 25**. This gives you a limited window to secure the Falcon mount before the next Moogle Treasure Trove event, so make sure to seize the opportunity.
This guide covers everything you need to know about obtaining the Falcon mount in *Final Fantasy XIV*. For more tips and guides, including how to get Dawntrail's Rroneek mount, be sure to explore our other content.
