Pokémon GO's Halloween festivities are about to begin, with Niantic unveiling details for Part 1 of the event (a Part 2 is also planned!). Expect thrilling features and spooky Pokémon encounters.

The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, 10:00 a.m. local time, until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Event Highlights:

Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, particularly effective against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Morpeko's ability to switch between Full Belly Mode (Aura Wheel - Electric-type, 100 power, Attack boost) and Hangry Mode (Aura Wheel - Dark-type, 100 power, Attack boost) mid-battle adds an exciting element.

During the event, Morpeko encounters are boosted in the GO Battle League's premium track, and will remain available from Rank 16 onwards, though more frequent in the premium track.

Festive Atmosphere & Features:

The game will feature special Halloween decorations. A remix of the classic Lavender Town theme will play nightly throughout the event.

Dynamax Gastly will appear in one-star Max Raids, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event (October 22nd – November 3rd) focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Completing tasks grants encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
