Hoshimi Miyabi helped Zenless Zone Zero set a new revenue record

HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its July 2024 launch figures.

According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's total mobile revenue now exceeds $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, along with enhanced gameplay mechanics, new areas, and game modes, all stimulating increased player spending.

The free availability of Harumasa as a promotional character, coupled with a focused banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to the record revenue.

This update's impact on player engagement was notably sustained. Unlike previous updates where spending typically declined sharply after a week, Zenless Zone Zero maintained over $1 million in daily revenue for more than 11 consecutive days, and held above $500,000 even two weeks post-update.

While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still falls short of HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
