Hot to Get Tier II/Fine Weapons and Armor in Avowed

Mar 18,25

In Avowed, upgrading your weapons is crucial for survival. Early game encounters feature mostly Common (Level I) weapons and enemies. However, the difficulty scales quickly to Level II, demanding Fine (Level II) gear. Here's how to acquire and upgrade to Tier II/Fine weapons and armor.

Upgrading Weapons and Armor from Common (I) to Fine (II)

While some Fine quality weapons and armor can be found or purchased, others require upgrading. Avowed uses a two-part system to track gear effectiveness: Quality (indicated by a descriptor, color, and Roman numeral) and Enhancement Levels (+1 to +3). Common (I) gear is green, while Fine (II) gear is blue.

To upgrade from Common (I) to Fine (II), you'll need a Party Camp workbench. Each upgrade level (+1 to +3) requires specific materials. After reaching +3, you can upgrade to Fine (II) using Adra, a rare crystal obtained from quests, merchants, or by dismantling Unique gear.

Upgrading consumes resources. Alternatively, you can find Fine (II) weapons and armor early in Dawnshore, though this is rare. Level II enemies, especially Bounties, sometimes drop Fine gear. However, Common gear is less effective against Level II enemies, so carry ample health potions.

Merchants in Paradis also sell Fine (II) gear. Access to Paradis is granted after defeating the Dreamscourge bear boss in Dawnshore. Two sisters operate a shop near the Bounty Board; Merlylin sells magical items (grimoires, wands), while her sister sells standard weapons and armor (pictured above).

This covers acquiring Fine weapons and armor in Avowed.
