Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, has shared a moving message following a near-fatal incident. Last week, he was found "barely alive" in his Atlanta hotel room.

A GoFundMe campaign, which has already raised an impressive $174,653 for medical expenses and outstanding bills, features a video message from Johnson himself. He reveals he was in a coma.

"I discovered there's an overwhelming amount of love in the world that I wasn't aware of, and I'm deeply grateful to each and every one of you," Johnson expressed.

The incident occurred while he was in Atlanta to host a charity event for the National Alzheimer's Association. His absence from the event triggered concern, leading his wife, Kim Johnson, to contact the hotel. Security personnel and EMTs found him with a barely detectable pulse.

"The rumors of my demise were not exaggerated. It was incredibly close. But I'm still here," Johnson stated. "I'm alive because my wife called the hotel, my son contacted security, and they discovered I was near death. They rushed me to the hospital, and I was placed in a medically induced coma for five days. It was then that I learned about the GoFundMe campaign organized by my dear friends Bill Glasser, Shari Elliker, and Kim. It showed me the incredible love and support out there."

Johnson expressed gratitude to the National Alzheimer's Association for supporting his family, to Ted Leonsis (chairman of the Washington Capitals' parent company) for a generous $25,000 donation, and to Glasser and Elliker. He also extended heartfelt thanks to Bethesda, who publicly voiced their support. "You say I'm your friend. I am, and always will be. I love you guys," he said. Finally, he thanked fans for their donations and support: "I love you all. I'm not going anywhere."

"Recovery will take time, but I'm coming back. I look forward to seeing and hearing from you all soon. Cheers."

Beyond his extensive video game work with Bethesda, Johnson boasts a diverse filmography and television credits. His most recent video game role was Ron Hope in Starfield. Other notable roles include Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, three Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among many others.
