New Images and Details Revealed for The Lion King Ride at Disneyland Paris, Construction Begins Soon
Exciting new developments have been announced for Disneyland Paris, with the introduction of a thrilling new ride themed around the beloved movie, *The Lion King*. Scheduled to begin construction in Fall 2025, this water ride will be a centerpiece of the reimagined Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be known as Disney Adventure World. Guests will embark on a journey through iconic scenes from the 1994 classic, culminating in a breathtaking 52-foot drop, just two inches taller than Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
The new land will not only feature the ride but also a towering 120-foot-high Pride Rock, along with a variety of dining and shopping experiences, and opportunities for character meet-and-greets. A new concept image released by Disney showcases Audio-Animatronics of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa enjoying a meal in a lush jungle setting, giving fans a glimpse of what's to come.
The Lion King ride will open after the grand opening of World of Frozen in 2026, contributing to the expansive new footprint of Disney Adventure World. This park expansion will also introduce other exciting attractions, including the Raiponce Tangled Spin ride, featuring Mandy Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel, and the first-ever attraction inspired by *Up*, which will offer guests a spinning carousel experience with panoramic views of the park's stunning landscapes.
Another highlight of Disney Adventure World will be the World Premiere entrance, set to open on May 15, 2025. Designed to evoke the glamour of a Hollywood premiere, this entrance will lead into the World Premiere Plaza, inspired by Broadway and the West End. The plaza will host theaters showcasing productions such as *TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure*, *Mickey and the Magician*, and *Frozen: A Musical Invitation*.
