Jason Sudeikis Confirms Ted Lasso Season 4
Great news for fans of the heartwarming Apple TV+ series, as Ted Lasso Season 4 is officially on its way, confirmed by star and producer Jason Sudeikis. During a candid conversation on the New Heights sports podcast, hosted by NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce, Sudeikis shared the exciting update that followed the conclusion of Season 3 in the summer of 2023. A snippet from the podcast episode captured the brothers eagerly seeking details on the next installment of the beloved soccer series.
"That's what we're writing. We're writing Season 4 now," Sudeikis teased, confirming the project's continuation. "That's the official word, yeah. Ted's coaching a women's team." This revelation marks the first concrete update on Ted Lasso's future in nearly two years, bringing much-needed relief to fans eager for more of the feel-good show. However, details such as whether Season 4 will be the final chapter or the setting for the new season remain under wraps. Even Travis Kelce couldn't extract more information from Sudeikis about a potential return to the U.S., with Sudeikis humorously admitting, "Yeah, that's too many questions, and that's only because I don't know."
According to Deadline, negotiations are underway for Juno Temple to reprise her role as Keeley, with Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift confirmed to return as Rebecca, Roy, and Leslie, respectively. Sources suggest that filming for the first episode of Season 4 will commence in Kansas City before Ted heads back to the UK, with production slated to start in July.
Apple TV+ is actively working to rekindle interest in Ted Lasso. Although specifics about the release date and plot are still under wraps, the show's official X/Twitter account playfully acknowledged its unexpected hiatus with a post that read, "Finally found the dang password to this thing. Sorry y’all. What’d I miss?"
The last significant update on the Ted Lasso story came in the summer of 2024 when Deadline reported that Season 4 was preparing for greenlight status.
