JP Server Pre-Reg Live, New Gameplay Unlocks
The much-anticipated pre-registration for the JP server of ETE Chronicle:Re is now live! If you’ve been itching for a game that lets you take to the skies, dive into the ocean, and storm the land with badass girls at your side, your wait is finally over.I’ll get you caught up on the game a little. ETE Chronicle was first launched in Japan but received a lukewarm reception due to its unexpected gameplay. People anticipated a high-octane mecha action game but were met with a turn-based system that disappointed some players. In response to the feedback, the developers drastically reworked the game for its Chinese release, transforming it into a true action title. This updated version, now known as ETE Chronicle: Re, is set to replace the original JP release, which will be shut down. Players who spent money on the old version will see their investments carried over to the new one.The Storyline: A Future in RuinsLet’s take a look at what ETE Chronicle:Re is all about. You jump into a future where chaos reigns supreme, with humanity locked in an endless struggle. The Yggdrasil Corporation, after acquiring the remnants of extraterrestrial beings, developed the Galar, which is a tactical exoskeleton. With their fancy new toy and a massive orbital base named Tenkyu, they turned the Earth into a war-torn wasteland. The survivors banded together after the world went to pieces, forming the Humanity Alliance. Their secret weapon? Some girls piloted the E.T.E., a new breed of combat machines. As an enforcer in this world, you’ll be joining them in a fight. Every decision you make impacts not only the fight but also the fate of these characters, making your role as enforcer crucial. And let’s not forget the battle mechanics of ETE Chronicle:Re. With four characters under your command, you must think fast and act even quicker. The game’s half-real-time system means you’re always switching strategies on the fly as you navigate through enemy fire. Some players still have their doubts for the reboot since their experience with the previous version didn’t go very well. In their opinion, the constant running and shooting loop became monotonous, as enemies maintained a fixed distance that made flanking impossible. The movement system also controlled the entire party simultaneously, with no individual control over characters. This inflexibility led to repetitive and infuriating battles. Will ETE Chronicle:Re be the cure to this? We’ll have to wait and find out.Pre-register for ETE Chronicle:Re before August 18th, and you can snag some freebies. Five winners will get a 2,000 yen Amazon gift certificate. You can pre-register on their official website or the Google Play Store. Before you go, check out the scoop on Upcoming Genshin Impact 5.0 Livestream.
