K2: Digital Edition Prepares for Launch on Android and iOS
K2: Digital Edition, a digital adaptation of the popular board game, is coming soon to mobile devices. This challenging mountaineering experience will be available on iOS and Android, putting players in command of an expedition to conquer treacherous peaks.
As expedition leader, you'll manage every aspect of the climb, balancing risk, acclimatization, and unpredictable weather to guide your climbers to the summit. Strategic decision-making is paramount; will you push for the summit before a storm hits, or establish base camps and wait for optimal conditions? Every choice has consequences.
The mobile version will feature both single-player and multiplayer modes, with real-time and asynchronous options allowing for competition against AI or friends at your own pace.
Prepare to tackle multiple iconic mountains, including K2, Everest, Lhotse, and Broad Peak, each presenting unique challenges. The game incorporates all expansions from the board game, plus a brand-new story campaign exclusive to the digital edition. Expect varied mission rules that demand strategic adjustments based on terrain, weather, and competition.
While mobile gamers eagerly await its release, PC players can enjoy K2: Digital Edition via Steam, launching April 29th. An updated demo is currently available, boasting improved climber selection visibility, better interface scaling, added tooltips, and overall performance enhancements. The mobile version will deliver the same strategic depth and crucial decision-making.
Although a specific mobile release date remains unannounced, it's expected to follow shortly after the Steam launch. For further details, visit the official Steam page.
