Killer Instinct Gold joins the Nintendo Switch Online library as the newest Nintendo 64 title.

A Nintendo 64 adaptation of the arcade hit Killer Instinct 2, Gold complements the original Killer Instinct in the growing catalog of classic games accessible to Online Expansion Pack subscribers.

Launched in 1996, Killer Instinct Gold was crafted by British developer Rare, a key Nintendo collaborator at the time, known for titles like Donkey Kong Country, Goldeneye 007, and Perfect Dark. Choose from 10 dynamic fighters and engage in diverse game modes, mastering countless moves and devastating combos.

Rare, along with the Killer Instinct franchise, is now under Microsoft’s ownership, making Killer Instinct Gold another Xbox Game Studios title on the Switch. Since the 2013 debut of Killer Instinct on Xbox One, Microsoft has shown no plans for a new sequel.
