King’s Raid Returns After Masangsoft Acquisition
If you were disheartened by the closure of King’s Raid, there's uplifting news on the horizon: the beloved mobile RPG is set to make a comeback. Masangsoft has taken over the IP and is gearing up for a full-scale revival following the game's shutdown on April 15th.
Launched initially in 2017, King’s Raid distinguished itself by steering away from typical gacha mechanics and embracing a more player-friendly hero collection system. Its real-time 3D battles, expansive narrative, and stunning character designs garnered a loyal fanbase across the globe, particularly in Japan and Southeast Asia. Despite its popularity, operational challenges led to its unfortunate closure earlier this month.
However, Masangsoft swiftly stepped in, finalizing the acquisition on March 17th and announcing their commitment to relaunching King’s Raid globally. While specific details are still forthcoming, the company is actively developing the game, and a full relaunch schedule is expected to be announced soon.
Set in the expansive continent of Orbis, King’s Raid follows the adventures of Kasel, a young knight-in-training on a quest to find his missing brother. Accompanied by childhood friend Frey, the magician Cleo, and bodyguard Roi, Kasel's journey is woven with alliances, betrayals, and epic confrontations. The narrative reaches a dramatic peak in the first season, while the second season delves deeper into the lore of the Vespian Empire. In terms of gameplay, King’s Raid offers a rich RPG experience where you can assemble teams from a diverse roster of heroes, categorized into seven classes with unique roles and abilities. The game promises thrilling real-time PvP, massive raid battles, and extensive customization options through awakening and gear progression.
Although Masangsoft has not yet disclosed the specific enhancements planned for the relaunch, fans can anticipate a revitalized version of the RPG that retains its core appeal.
