KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Server Shutdown After 3.5-Year Run

Another gacha game bites the dust! KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global, developed by Sumzap and published by Nexon (later Sesisoft), officially shut down its servers on January 30th. While a 3.5-year lifespan (compared to the Japanese version's 5 years) is a respectable run for an anime-based gacha, revenue decline ultimately led to its closure.

The developers, having transitioned their focus to the Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade gacha game, still provided dedicated support until the very end. This included voiced story updates and a final song release just three weeks prior to the shutdown. A farewell livestream in December, featuring Kazuma's voice actor, further highlighted their commitment.

The Japanese version offers a unique benefit: the entire main story is archived on their YouTube channel, allowing players to revisit the antics of Kazuma and his companions. An offline version also provides access to the story, voice lines, and character collection.

Unfortunately, the Global version lacks both an offline mode and a dedicated YouTube archive. However, fans can still enjoy the Japanese YouTube archive for continued engagement with the KonoSuba universe.

This concludes our coverage of the KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global shutdown. Stay tuned for our next article on the upcoming February Community Day in Pokémon Go, featuring Karrablast and Shelmet.
