However, Star Wars: Legacy of Vader, a new series delving into Kylo Ren's story, is arguably the most intriguing.

Revisiting Kylo Ren's Journey

Soule, known for his work on the post-Empire Strikes Back era, including War of the Bounty Hunters and Dark Droids, explains his return to Kylo Ren, a character he previously explored in 2020's The Rise of Kylo Ren. He felt there was much more to tell about Kylo's story, beyond what the films revealed. Setting the new series after Episode VIII allows him to explore a character undergoing significant, rapid change.

Ben Solo After The Last Jedi

Legacy of Vader is set immediately after The Last Jedi, a pivotal moment for Ben Solo. He's failed to sway Rey, battled Luke, nearly killed his mother, and gained control of the First Order. The series explores the turmoil he faces as he tries to overcome his past. Soule emphasizes Ben's internal conflict, his attempts to distance himself from his past while simultaneously seeking guidance, even from his grandfather, Darth Vader.

The series begins with Ben's visit to Mustafar, Vader's fortress, highlighting his conflicted feelings about his lineage. Soule notes Ben's inherent dishonesty with himself, his posturing masking his inner turmoil and search for direction.

The internal politics of the First Order will also play a significant role, featuring characters like General Hux and General Pryde. Kylo Ren's efforts to consolidate his power will be a key aspect of the narrative.
