Leaked Sony Trailer Reveals Stellar Blade PC Release Date, New Features, Boss Fight, and 25 Outfits
The PC version of Stellar Blade is set to launch on Steam on June 11, accompanied by a suite of PC-specific features, as revealed by a trailer that was accidentally published by Sony on the PlayStation YouTube channel before being taken down. The internet, however, was quick to capture and share the trailer, which is expected to be officially released soon.
The trailer also unveiled the Stellar Blade Complete Edition, which includes the base game and all the DLC released to date for both PS5 and PC. This news follows over a year after the game's successful launch on PS5 in April 2024.
Stellar Blade on PC will feature all the enhancements you'd expect, including AI upscaling with Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, an unlocked framerate, Japanese and Chinese voiceover options, ultrawide display support, higher resolution environment textures, and DualSense support for haptic feedback and trigger effects.
Additionally, the trailer showcased a new boss battle against Mann, the Leader of the Sentinels, and introduced 25 new costumes, which are expected to be available on PS5 as well. At the trailer's end, Eve is seen letting go of a memory stick, a scene not present in the base game, sparking speculation about a new ending or potential DLC.
Stellar Blade was a significant success for Korean developer Shift Up, generating $43 million in royalties in its last financial year. The studio anticipates that the PC version will surpass the sales of the PS5 version, which sold over 1 million copies within two months. Shift Up is also considering developing another game in the franchise.
In Stellar Blade, players assume the role of Eve, fighting against unknown invaders to reclaim Earth in a fast-paced action role-playing game. The game received a 7/10 rating from IGN, praised for its action elements but critiqued for its characters, story, and some RPG mechanics. Despite these critiques, it quickly sold a million copies, proving its popularity among gamers.
