LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship, New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth
LEGO has unveiled an exciting lineup of nine new Star Wars sets, all set to hit the shelves on May 1, 2025. This launch aligns perfectly with Disney's celebration of May the 4th, known affectionately as Star Wars Day, which LEGO traditionally marks with the release of an Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In past years, fans were treated to Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, the spotlight is on Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously known to long-time fans as Slave I. LEGO confirmed a name change to this iconic ship back in 2021 at Disney's request, reflecting a move away from the term 'slave' in their branding. It seems this change is set to continue.

The latest iteration of Jango Fett's Firespray Starship is a significant upgrade from the last major release in 2019, which celebrated the 20th anniversary with 1007 pieces, mirroring the ship's appearance in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new set, featuring a staggering 2970 pieces, brings to life the ship as it appeared in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. It's nearly three times larger than its predecessor, with dimensions of 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
