"How to Level Up Sinners in Limbus Company"
Quick Links
In Limbus Company, the levels of your Sinners are crucial in determining their combat strength. Just like in other RPGs, leveling up your team is essential for progressing through the game and tackling challenging content. Even the most powerful Sinner Identities won't stand a chance against enemies if they're underleveled. For newcomers, here's a concise guide on the best ways to earn XP for your characters.
As we look forward to games like Ananta and Neverness To Everness, it's clear there's a demand for stylish anime games that aren't gacha-based. While HoYoVerse games satisfy my gacha cravings, I'm eager for a triple-A experience in the same genre without the RNG monetization.
Combat and Grinding --------------------For new players, the primary way to earn XP is through combat. All Sinners on your team will gain XP after successfully clearing a combat encounter, though those who actively participated in the fight earn more XP. However, this process can be slow, especially as battles become tougher. To speed up your progress, you'll need to find more efficient ways to level up.
Upon reaching the midpoint of Canto 2, you'll unlock the Luxcavation mode. This mode allows you to challenge specific enemies for various rewards. While the fights themselves provide decent XP, the real benefit comes from the consumable items you can earn, which are essential for leveling up.
Using Consumable Items
If grinding for XP manually isn't your style, you can use Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets to level up your Sinners' Identities. These consumables are designed specifically for character leveling and come in different rarities.
Identity Training Tickets
Identity Training Tickets boost an Identity's XP by a fixed amount. They're similar to level-up materials in other gacha games like Honkai Star Rail or Genshin Impact. While they help reduce the XP grind, you'll need a substantial number of these tickets to max out a single character. They are available in four tiers, each providing increasing amounts of XP:
- Identity Training Ticket I: 50 Identity XP
- Identity Training Ticket II: 200 Identity XP
- Identity Training Ticket III: 1000 Identity XP
- Identity Training Ticket IV: 3000 Identity XP
You can obtain these tickets by farming the EXP Luxcavation stages, through the free and paid Limbus Passes, and from periodic attendance check events.
Level Boost Tickets
Level Boost Tickets instantly raise your Sinners' Identities to a specific level, bypassing the need for XP. These tickets are highly valuable as they serve as leveling shortcuts, but they're also much rarer. They're primarily obtained via the Limbus Pass and occasionally during attendance check events. Unlike training tickets, these cannot be farmed. Different Level Boost Tickets elevate your characters to the following levels:
- Level Boost Ticket I: Level 10
- Level Boost Ticket II: Level 20
- Level Boost Ticket III: Level 30
- Level Boost Ticket IV: Level 40
As of now, Identities can reach a maximum level of 50. To level up multiple characters efficiently, consider balancing the use of your Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets.
To use these consumables, navigate to the Sinners menu and long-press the portrait of the character you wish to level up.
