The Lord of the Rings Magic Commander Decks Return to Amazon

Nov 09,25

Magic: The Gathering is about to launch a new Spider-Man set, but earlier Universes Beyond releases are still very much in the picture.

Beyond the improbable crossover of a Warhammer 40k Tyranid and Sonic the Hedgehog, we've spotted all four Commander Decks from 2023's The Lord of the Rings collection back in stock on Amazon.

Is this old inventory being cleared out, or a new production run? It's hard to tell, but with two of the four decks currently discounted, it's certainly worth a closer look.

Lord of the Rings MTG Commander Decks: Now Available Again on Amazon

Magic: The Gathering Hosts of Mordor

0$87.89 at Amazon

All four Commander Decks are currently available on Amazon, although one—The Hosts of Mordor—is priced significantly higher than the others.

This Sauron-led deck offers a very engaging play experience, but whether it justifies a price tag approaching $90 is your call.

Magic: The Gathering Riders of Rohan

0$49.92 at Amazon

Fortunately, the other decks are more affordable. The Riders of Rohan deck, which we selected as one of our top deck recommendations currently available, is priced at $49.92 at the moment.

If you're seeking an aggressive, combat-focused deck, this is an excellent option, even though it isn't on sale.

Magic: The Gathering Food & Fellowship

0$54.35 save 11%$48.59 at Amazon

Two decks—Food and Fellowship and Elven Council—are currently discounted. The first, featuring Frodo and Sam with a life gain theme centered on sacrificing food tokens, is now available for $48.59.

Magic: The Gathering Elven Council

Finally, the Elven Council deck includes Galadriel, Legolas, and Arwen, and is now just $45.87. It also contains a valuable reprint of Heroic Intervention, while Raise the Palisade maintains a solid secondary market price.

Each deck also comes with a 'Collector Booster Sample Pack' containing a few cards, offering a chance to pull some attractive foil and borderless treatments.
