The last major Baldur's Gate III patch entered the stress test stage

Baldur's Gate III's eighth and potentially final major patch is now undergoing stress testing. While some Sony console players received early access, players who haven't already participated are advised to reinstall the game for optimal testing.

Patch 8 introduces highly anticipated cross-platform play, uniting PC and console players. Players can invite friends across different platforms provided they have linked Larian accounts. Remarkably, even modded games can support crossplay, provided all mods used are compatible across PC, Mac, and consoles, and the host's game doesn't exceed ten mods.

Multiplayer functionality receives a significant boost with the addition of split-screen co-op on Xbox Series S, a feature previously unavailable on this console.

Beyond crossplay, Patch 8 boasts a fully customizable photo mode and twelve new subclasses, adding depth and variety to gameplay. Numerous bug fixes and balance adjustments are also included, though some issues may persist. A comprehensive changelog for the stress test is available on the game's official website.
