Activision initially announced the map's comeback last August, hinting at a "spring 2025" release without a precise date. However, a recent update on the Call of Duty shop has sparked excitement among fans, displaying a pop-up for "The Verdansk Collection" and a countdown ending on March 10, 2025, as reported by InsiderGaming.

Alongside the announcement, a simple, tri-color sketch has been revealed, depicting an alpine scene complete with snow, pine trees, a dam, and a crashed plane. This imagery will be familiar to those who played in Warzone's original sandbox before it was updated to Verdansk '84 in Season 3 and eventually replaced by Caldera in 2021. Currently, the only way to experience Verdansk again is through Call of Duty Warzone Mobile.

This news comes as a surprise to many fans, especially after being informed in 2021 that "current-day Verdansk is gone and it's not coming back." The return of this iconic map is sure to reignite the passion of the Warzone community.
