Following the Dark Phoenix saga, Kabam has rolled out an exciting new update for Marvel Contest of Champions. This update introduces two new characters: Spider-Woman, who swings into action on April 17th with her spider-enhanced abilities and espionage skills, and Lumatrix, the first Eidol Champion of 2025, debuting on April 9th. Lumatrix, a dazzling assassin created by The Founders, uses light manipulation powers to mask a deadly intent. To add Lumatrix to your roster, you'll need to gather Light Essence from Battlegrounds, Saga Incursions, and Raids during the event, which runs through June 4th.

The update also brings new quests and special events, including the latest chapter of Act 9.2, offering players a chance to chase valuable rewards. One of the highlights is the Spy Games quest, running from March 9th to May 7th, where Black Widow recruits Spider-Woman to delve into the mystery surrounding the Eidols. Together, these elite spies navigate through danger and deception to uncover the truth behind Lumatrix’s sinister light show.

Adding to the excitement, Deadpool joins the fray with the Red & Dead’s Discount Shed event from April 25th to May 2nd. Convinced by Red Guardian, Deadpool offers a stash of special rewards, including event currency, crystals, and bonuses. Following closely, the Heart of Fire Sale from May 7th to 14th provides an opportunity to acquire valuable Champions and rewards through Heart of Fire crystals.

Later this month, the Thunderbolts Daily Super Event, inspired by the Thunderbolts, will shake up the seven-day supply drop from April 18th through May 2nd. By achieving milestones, players can earn Poolshields, which can be exchanged for rewards during Red & Dead’s Discount Shed. Additionally, daily supply drops will be available from April 25th to May 23rd, encouraging regular logins for more free rewards.
