Marvel Rivals Season 1 Mid-Season Update: No Rank Reset!
A recent announcement from NetEase Games has clarified the situation regarding a rank reset in Marvel Rivals' Season 1. Initially, a mid-season reset was planned for February 21, 2025, coinciding with the arrival of The Thing and Human Torch. However, due to significant player feedback expressing concerns about the frequency of resets, NetEase has reversed this decision.
The developers stated that there will be no rank reset at the halfway point of Season 1. Players will retain their current rank and score. To earn new rewards, including a Gold rank costume and various Crests of Honor, players simply need to complete 10 competitive matches and meet the required conditions by the season's end. This change demonstrates NetEase's responsiveness to community feedback.

Beyond the absence of a rank reset, the mid-season update will introduce The Thing and Human Torch as playable heroes. Specific character balance adjustments (buffs and nerfs) haven't been detailed yet, but are anticipated.
