Marvel Snap's Amazing Spidey Season Swings Into Action
TouchArcade Rating:
Following August's Young Avengers season, Marvel Snap (Free) swings into a new season themed around everyone's favorite web-slinger: Amazing Spider-Season! While Bonesaw remains absent (for now!), this season introduces exciting new cards and locations. Let's dive in!

This season's highlight is the introduction of "Activate" abilities. Unlike "On Reveal," Activate abilities allow players to strategically trigger a card's effect at any point during a match, bypassing effects that target On Reveal. The Season Pass card perfectly showcases this new mechanic. For a visual introduction to the new season, check out the video below:
Symbiote Spider-Man, the Season Pass card, is a 4-cost, 6-power powerhouse. His Activate ability lets him absorb the lowest-cost card at his location and copy its text, including triggering any On Reveal effects. Pairing him with Galactus promises chaotic fun, though his power might warrant a nerf later in the season.
Let's look at the other new additions:
-
Silver Sable: A 1-cost, 1-power card with an On Reveal ability that steals 2 power from the top card of your opponent's deck. Effective on its own, and even more potent in specific deck combinations.
-
Madame Web: This Ongoing ability card lets you move one card at her location to another location once per turn.

-
Arana: Another 1-cost, 1-power card with an Activate ability. Activating Arana moves the next card you play to the right and boosts its power by +2, making her a valuable asset in move-based decks.
-
Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly): A 4-cost, 5-power card with an Activate ability that creates an identical clone at another location. Amplify his power, then duplicate it!
Two new locations join the fray:
-
Brooklyn Bridge: A classic Spider-Man location with a unique twist – you can't place cards there on consecutive turns, demanding creative strategic thinking.
-
Otto's Lab: This location functions similarly to Otto Octavius himself. The next card played here pulls a card from your opponent's hand onto the location, adding an element of surprise.

This Spider-themed season introduces compelling new cards and the innovative "Activate" mechanic, opening up exciting strategic possibilities. Our September deck guide will soon be available to help you conquer this new meta. What are your thoughts on this season? Which cards are you excited to play? Will you be purchasing the Season Pass?
