Marvel's First Family Embarks on Epic MCU Journey
Marvel Studios unveils the first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, promising a spectacular superhero film set for release in 2025. The trailer gives viewers their initial look at Mr. Fantastic, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and The Thing, alongside the formidable villain, Galactus.
The footage opens with a dinner scene at the Baxter Building, showcasing the film's stylish 1960s retro-futuristic aesthetic. A glimpse of a potential New York battle is also teased. We see Ben Grimm's transformation into The Thing, and both he and H.E.R.B.I.E. (the Humanoid Experimental Robot B-Type Integrated Electronics) appear to be enthusiastic cooks.
Elsewhere, Sue Storm briefly showcases her Invisible Woman abilities, and Johnny Storm takes flight as the Human Torch. Reed Richards' elastic Mr. Fantastic powers, however, remain unseen in this initial trailer.
A notable appearance is that of John Malkovich, rumored to be portraying Ivan Kragoff, also known as the Red Ghost.
The trailer premiered at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, with stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach greeting excited fans.
Scheduled for release on July 25, 2025, the MCU film stars Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner as Silver Surfer, alongside Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles. Matt Shakman directs, with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige producing.
