Match Colourful Minos while Balancing the Board in Mino, a New Match-3 Puzzle!
A delightful new puzzle game has just hit the Android scene, and it's called Mino. This charming match-3 puzzler brings a fresh twist to the genre, inviting players to match three or more identical pieces to clear them from the board. But here's where Mino sets itself apart with a unique challenge!
Mino Needs You to Be Stable
In Mino, balance is not just a concept—it's the core of the gameplay. As you're busy making matches, you must also keep the board stable. If you don't, things can quickly go awry.
You place Minos on the board, match them, and strive to keep the game going as long as possible. However, each move you make causes the board to tilt. If you're not careful, your Minos could slide off, abruptly ending your run. So, in addition to matching, you need to strategize your placements to maintain the board's balance.
Time is always ticking in Mino, but don't worry—power-ups are here to help. You can clear columns, launch rockets to stabilize the board, and use a wildcard Mino that matches with anything. Upgrading these power-ups enhances your chances of lasting longer and achieving a higher score. The game also allows you to unlock and upgrade different Minos, boosting your earnings.
Who Are These Minos?
It seems that Otori Studios, the developers behind Mino, drew inspiration from Minions when creating these adorable creatures. The Minos, with their variety of colors, certainly evoke the charm of those yellow, pill-shaped characters. Take a look at them and see if you agree!
Mino is a fun game that introduces a novel concept with a decent level of challenge. Its playful art style and colorful, monster-like Minos give the game a toy-like feel. I certainly enjoyed these little creatures with their tiny spikes and adorable stubby tails.
You can download Mino on the Google Play Store. It's free to play and available globally right now.
