Meta Stops Selling Quest Pro VR Headset
The Meta Quest Pro is officially discontinued. Meta's website confirms its unavailability, following earlier announcements of its impending end-of-life. Limited stock may remain in some retail stores, but availability is dwindling.
The high price point ($1,499.99) significantly hampered the Quest Pro's market penetration, unlike the more affordable standard Meta Quest line ($299.99 - $499.99). This lack of consumer and corporate adoption led to its discontinuation.
Meta recommends the Meta Quest 3 as a superior replacement, offering a compelling "ultimate mixed reality experience" at a lower price point of $499. The Quest 3 boasts improved specifications, including higher resolution, refresh rate, and a lighter design compared to its predecessor. Furthermore, the Quest 3 is compatible with the Quest Pro's Touch Pro controllers.
For budget-conscious consumers, the Meta Quest 3S offers a more affordable alternative ($299.99), albeit with slightly reduced specifications.
