This guide helps players navigate the challenging "Cursed" mission in Metro 2033, focusing on the often unclear objectives and confusing station layout. The mission begins after a railcar journey, leading Artyom and Khan to a group of defenders at barricaded escalators.

Locating the Bomb

The defenders explain that an explosives team went missing while attempting to collapse a tunnel, preventing nosalis attacks. Artyom must find and detonate the bomb. Nosalises will attack constantly; retreat to the defenders for support if overwhelmed. The bomb is located at the far end of the right-hand tunnel. Avoid the ghostly shadows to avoid taking damage. Retrieve the bomb and either proceed to the adjacent tunnel or retreat if necessary.

Destroying the Tunnel

To detonate the bomb, enter the left-hand tunnel (from the defenders' perspective). A cutscene will trigger, showing Artyom planting and lighting the fuse. Escape immediately to avoid the blast. Alternatively, a grenade or pipe bomb can collapse the tunnel. Note: Nosalises may still enter through other routes.

Destroying the Airlock

To secure the station, destroy the airlock mentioned by Khan. Ascend the stairs on the right to the torchlit area. Ignore any nosalises. Interact with the support columns to place a pipe bomb. Evacuate immediately after lighting the fuse. After both entrances are destroyed, follow Khan to the shrine room and descend through a floor panel to begin the "Armory" mission.
