"MGS Delta Demo Theater Returns, ESRB Confirms"
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater's ESRB rating has unveiled the return of the Peep Demo Theater, along with enhancements to the game's camouflage system. Dive in to discover what these features entail and how they will impact your gameplay experience.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Returning and Improved Features
Peep Demo Theater Returns
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (MGS Delta) has been rated M for Mature by the ESRB, confirming the return of a notable feature from the original game: the Peep Demo Theater. This feature, previously seen in the Subsistence and HD Collection versions of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, allows players to view all cutscenes featuring the female spy EVA, but with a twist—she appears in her underwear. Players have the freedom to manipulate the camera, zooming in on any part of her body. Unlocking this feature requires collecting all other cutscenes in the Demo Theater, which necessitates four complete playthroughs of the game.
The inclusion of this feature, sometimes referred to as "Creepy mode," has sparked surprise among fans, given its explicit and controversial nature. Meanwhile, the game's M rating aligns with its intense themes of violence and gore, as players take on the role of an elite soldier navigating enemy territory.
Faster Camouflage System
MGS Delta also introduces a streamlined camouflage system, as announced by METAL GEAR OFFICIAL via a Twitter (X) post on March 28. The post highlighted a new feature that allows players to change camouflage for faces, uniforms, and more in under three seconds. This is a significant improvement over the original Metal Gear Solid 3, where changing camouflage was a cumbersome process involving pausing the game, navigating menus, and selecting options, which often disrupted the flow and immersion during stealth missions.
As the release date of MGS Delta approaches on August 26, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, fans are eagerly anticipating this remake. The return of iconic features and quality-of-life improvements promise to enhance the overall gaming experience.
