Monster Hunter Wilds is gearing up for a second Open Beta, offering another chance to experience the thrill of the hunt! This extended beta period includes exciting new features and content for both returning and first-time players. Find out how to participate below!
Hunt a New Beast!
Missed the initial Open Beta? Fear not! A second Open Beta Test is scheduled for the first two weeks of February, providing a fresh opportunity to explore the world of Monster Hunter Wilds before its official launch on February 28th. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto confirmed this exciting news in a recent video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.

This second beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th. Available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, this iteration boasts new content absent from the first beta, including the formidable Gypceros, a familiar face to veteran Monster Hunter players.
Carry over your character data from the first beta! While progress won't transfer, your character will be ready to go. Participation rewards await: a charming Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm, a Seikret item, and a bonus item pack to aid your early game adventures. These rewards will be redeemable in the full game.

"We understand many missed the first beta or wanted a second chance," Tsujimoto explained. "The team is diligently working to finalize the full game." While recent community updates showcased planned improvements, these enhancements won't be included in this beta.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th, 2025. Get ready to hunt!
