New Monster Outbreaks Feature Tested in Monster Hunter Now
In the ever-evolving world of Monster Hunter Now, Niantic is rolling out a thrilling new feature called Monster Outbreaks. This innovative event is currently in the testing phase, where players can dive in, provide feedback, and help refine the experience before it becomes a permanent fixture in the game. The Monster Outbreaks are designed to bring players together for intense, cooperative monster-slaying sessions, and we're here to give you all the details you need to join in on the action.
When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?
Mark your calendars! The Monster Outbreaks testing phase is scheduled from April 26th to April 27th. Each day, the event will run for two one-hour windows: from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., local time. This gives you ample opportunity to participate on both Saturday and Sunday.
During the event, specific locations on the map, known as outbreak points, will suddenly be overrun with 8-star Black Diablos. Your mission? Collaborate with other players to take down a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak spot within the one-hour window. It's a team effort, so make sure you're ready to hunt!
To participate, you'll need to be at least HR 11. Note that the party feature won't be available during this event; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal. Outbreak points are clearly marked on the map with a special icon. When you find one, simply tap on it to view the details and sign up on the roster to let others know when you'll be joining the hunt.
Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!
The mechanics of the event are quite intriguing. If you team up with three other hunters and successfully take down one Black Diablos, that counts as four towards the 100 monster goal. If your group reaches the 100 mark before the time's up, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour.
The rewards for hitting the 100-monster goal are substantial. Your group will earn 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, if you sign up using the roster, you'll have the chance to earn a special Outbreak Test I Medal.
