A new animated short reveals Astra Yao's past, showcasing her participation in a benefit concert following a devastating cavern collapse. Following a tense encounter with a reporter, the narrative shifts to reveal impactful past events.

Astra Yao is featured in the first character banner of Zenless Zone Zero 1.5, with Evelyn Chevalier appearing in the second.

The 1.5 update also includes the customary miHoYo (HoYoverse) Polychrome compensation. Players receive 300 Polychromes for bug fixes and another 300 for technical improvements related to the update. This compensation is delivered via in-game mail.

Agent Astra Yao (Air, Support), a new S-rank agent, is introduced. Beyond her singing career, Astra Yao is a formidable support agent. She provides significant HP restoration and substantial damage boosts to allies. Her abilities enhance attack chain initiation and quick assists, enabling the squad to inflict considerable damage on enemies.
