Switch 2 release date revealed at Nintendo Direct
The Nintendo Switch 2 finally gets an official launch date - mark your calendars for June 5, 2025.
Nintendo also revealed today's biggest surprise: the Switch 2 will retail starting at $449.99.
The standard package includes:
- Nintendo Switch 2 console
- Joy-Con 2 controllers (L+R)
- Joy-Con 2 Grip
- Joy-Con 2 Straps
- Nintendo Switch 2 Dock
- Ultra High-Speed HDMI Cable
- Nintendo Switch 2 AC Adapter
- USB-C Charging Cable
Gamers can also opt for the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle priced at $499.99 in the U.S., packing both the console and a digital download code for Mario Kart World available from launch day.
Standalone copies of Mario Kart World will set you back $79.99 - marking Nintendo's highest Switch game price point with a $10 increase.
