Nintendo has officially confirmed preorders for the Switch 2 will begin April 9 in the U.S. and April 8 in the UK. Set for release on June 5, 2025, the Nintendo Switch 2 was fully unveiled today with a price point of $449.99.

A Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle will also be available at launch for $499.99, including the console system and digital download code for Mario Kart World. Purchased separately, Mario Kart World carries a retail price of $79.99.

Players can currently register interest through Nintendo's My Nintendo Store to receive preorder notifications for the Switch 2 and accessories. Priority purchase invitations will be emailed based on a first-come, first-served system, prioritizing Nintendo Switch Online members with active 12-month subscriptions and 50+ gameplay hours logged by April 2, 2025.

After priority invitations are distributed, remaining eligible registrants will receive opportunities. These exclusive invitations remain valid for 72 hours and cannot be transferred. Purchase limits restrict buyers to one console and one of each accessory per account. Major retailers will also begin accepting preorders starting April 9, 2025.
