People Can Fly, the acclaimed developer behind Bulletstorm and co-developer of Gears of War: E-Day, has recently inked a significant deal with Sony Interactive Entertainment. This collaboration is centered around a new game, codenamed Project Delta, which is set to be developed as a work-for-hire project. While the specifics of Project Delta remain under wraps, the agreement marks another milestone in People Can Fly's expansive portfolio.

Currently, People Can Fly is juggling a diverse array of projects, each bearing intriguing codenames. These include Project Gemini in partnership with Square Enix, which faced a setback last year with the layoff of 30 developers, and Project Echo with Krafton. Additionally, there's Project Red, which seems to be another collaboration with Sony, and the VR-centric Project Bison, recently declared as the studio's final venture into virtual reality.

The studio has faced its share of challenges, having suspended work on Project Victoria last December and scaling down Project Bifrost. Earlier in April, they also announced the cancellation of Project Dagger, an action-adventure title that was being developed in partnership with Take-Two Interactive.

Despite these adjustments, People Can Fly remains robust with a total of eight ongoing projects, including the highly anticipated Gears of War: E-Day in collaboration with The Coalition. While a release date for Gears of War: E-Day is yet to be announced, Project Gemini, partnered with Square Enix, is slated for a 2026 release. This dynamic lineup underscores People Can Fly's commitment to delivering innovative gaming experiences across multiple platforms and genres.
