Atlus's recent job postings hint at a new Persona game, fueling Persona 6 speculation. The company is actively recruiting a producer for its Persona team, along with other key roles including 2D character designer, UI designer, and scenario planner.
This recruitment drive follows comments from director Kazuhisa Wada about future Persona entries. While no official Persona 6 announcement exists, the job listings strongly suggest Atlus is preparing for a major new release in the franchise.
The anticipation is high, given the eight-year gap since Persona 5. Numerous spin-offs and remasters have kept fans engaged, but the next mainline game remains shrouded in mystery. Rumors from 2019 suggested concurrent development with titles like Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload, and the latter's impressive sales success only strengthens the franchise's momentum.
