Just Like A Phoenix! Supercell Announces Project R.I.S.E. From The Ashes Of Clash Heroes

Supercell, the renowned Finnish game developer, has recently made headlines with a surprising announcement. After confirming the shutdown of their RPG, Clash Heroes, they've revealed plans to revive it in a new form. Introducing Project R.I.S.E., a thrilling new take on the beloved Clash universe.

Yes, it's official: Clash Heroes is no more. Following in the footsteps of Clash Mini, it has been discontinued. However, Supercell isn't leaving fans in the lurch. Instead, they're transforming the game into Project R.I.S.E., a social action RPG roguelite set within the same cherished universe.

In an announcement video, game lead Julien Le Cadre shared the news directly. "Clash Heroes is dead. That's the bad news," he stated. "The good news is that Project R.I.S.E. is still a Clash game, and the better news is that it's now a multiplayer-focused action RPG."

For a deeper dive into Project R.I.S.E., check out the announcement video below:

Project R.I.S.E. promises to be an evolution of Clash Heroes, but with a fresh twist. It's being developed from scratch as a social action RPG roguelite. Players will team up with two others to explore The Tower, a mysterious location where each session unfolds on a different floor. The challenge? Ascend as high as possible. Unlike its predecessor, Project R.I.S.E. emphasizes cooperative play with a variety of characters, moving away from the solo PvE dungeons of Clash Heroes.

Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is gearing up for its first playtest in early July 2024. If you're eager to be part of this exciting new journey, head over to the official website and register for a chance to participate.
