Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Classic Console Throwback Event
Pikmin Bloom is gearing up for an exciting 3.5th anniversary celebration next month, and Niantic is pulling out all the stops with a nostalgic twist. The festivities kick off with a special event starting on May 1st, 2025, and it's a must for any fan of classic Nintendo.
The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!
Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted us with a variety of fun decor, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For this milestone, the game is bringing back the iconic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s, allowing players to relive the magic of those early gaming days.
Adding to the nostalgia, Niantic is introducing a Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin. This is a heartfelt tribute to Nintendo's origins in the playing card industry before their foray into video games. The designs of these cards are inspired by Nintendo's vintage playing card decks, adding a touch of retro charm to your Pikmin collection.
The event will run from May 1st until May 31st, 2025, giving you a whole month to immerse yourself in the missions and collect these unique Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions rewards you with random goodies like Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.
Keep an eye out for the Brilliant Mushrooms during the event. Smashing these mushrooms yields Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other exciting items. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are especially effective at taking these mushrooms down.
Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May
May brings a vibrant array of flowers that can bloom into carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or special anniversary roses when you plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.
There's also an update to the nectar system, ensuring that fruit from mushrooms during May will provide nectar for regular flowers as well as the special varieties like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
The celebration doesn't stop there; there are numerous other events planned, including a Community Day. Make sure to download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready to join in the 3.5th anniversary festivities.
