PlayStation Plus Unveils Exciting Summer 2025 Lineup with Resident Evil, Twisted Metal, and Sword of the Sea
PlayStation Plus members can anticipate an exciting mix of new and classic video games in the Extra and Premium catalogs, featuring iconic titles like Resident Evil, Twisted Metal, and more.
The latest additions for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 were showcased during the June 2025 State of Play event. All announced titles are set to launch throughout the summer, with select games available on the service from day one.
Sword of the Sea, a vibrant adventure game centered on fluid, skateboarding-inspired gameplay in a stunning oasis, takes center stage. Developed by Giant Squid, the team behind Abzu and The Pathless, it offers captivating visuals and exploration. It will be available for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers at no additional cost starting August 19, 2025.
Remedy Entertainment’s FBC: Firebreak introduces a fresh take on the Control universe, launching for Premium and Extra subscribers on June 17, 2025. Alongside these new releases, the Premium Classics Catalog will soon include retro favorites for players to rediscover.
The Classics Catalog welcomes Deus Ex, Twisted Metal 3, Twisted Metal 4, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Additionally, Myst and Riven will join the lineup as part of the Days of Play celebrations later this month. These titles are just a glimpse of Sony’s State of Play reveals, with more games expected to be announced soon.
