The Pokémon Company has recently addressed the ongoing issues fans have faced in obtaining the latest Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) sets. In a comprehensive statement released on their official website, the company acknowledged the challenges and announced plans for reprints to meet the high demand. In their statement, The Pokémon Company (TPC) expressed understanding of the frustrations faced by fans, stating, "We are aware that some fans are experiencing difficulties purchasing certain Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) products due to very high demand impacting availability." They further assured fans that they are "actively working to print more of the impacted Pokémon TCG products as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity to acknowledge this." The reprints are expected to be available at participating retailers soon.
To prevent future shortages, TPC announced plans to "maximize production" for upcoming TCG expansions, ensuring better availability at launch. They also committed to continuously reprinting affected products to maintain stock levels, including for the Pokémon Center.
Addressing the issue of scalping, The Pokémon Company emphasized their dedication to providing a seamless purchasing experience on the Pokémon Center. They mentioned employing technology to prioritize fans during product releases, such as using a virtual queue during periods of high site traffic. "We will continue to explore measures that help create the best possible experience for Pokémon Center customers," the company stated, expressing gratitude for the community's patience and support as they strive to deliver more Pokémon TCG products to fans.
These efforts by The Pokémon Company are a hopeful step towards easing the challenges of collecting and enjoying the Pokémon TCG, particularly during new set releases. Fans eagerly await the implementation of these promised changes to enhance their experience with the beloved card game.
