Following its successful debut in Japan, this unique exhibition, which showcases fabricated Pokémon "fossils" alongside real-world fossils of ancient lifeforms, is making its way to Chicago's Field Museum on May 22, 2026. This marks the first time the exhibit will be displayed outside of Japan.

"During your visit, you’ll have the chance to see vibrant Pokémon models displayed next to extinct lifeforms from the Field Museum’s collection. This includes scientific casts of Field Museum dinosaurs like SUE the T. rex and the Chicago Archaeopteryx, showcased alongside Fossil Pokémon such as Tyrantrum and Archeops," the museum explained.
