The Adventure Week event is back in Pokémon GO for 2024, and it’s brimming with exciting in-game rewards that you won't want to miss. After wrapping up July's events, get ready for an action-packed August.

What’s In Store?

Adventure Week in Pokémon GO kicks off on Friday, August 2nd at 10 am and continues until Monday, August 12th. This year’s event centers on Rock-type and Fossil Pokémon, offering ample opportunities to catch these robust and ancient creatures in the wild. You can hatch them from 7 km Eggs and encounter them through specially themed Field Research tasks.

A standout feature this year is the heightened chance to encounter Shiny Pokémon such as Aerodactyl. Other Rock-type Pokémon like Diglett and Bunnelby will also be more prevalent in the wild. If luck is on your side, you might just encounter an Aerodactyl while exploring your surroundings.

The 7 km Eggs are a highlight, with the potential to hatch Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga, Archen, Tyrunt, and Amaura. By completing themed Field Research tasks, you can encounter these Pokémon as well, and earn rewards like Mega Energy for Aerodactyl.

Spinning PokéStops during Adventure Week will double your XP in Pokémon GO, and you'll earn five times the XP for the first spin of the day. If you enjoy hatching Pokémon, you'll also receive double XP for that activity.

What Else Is New?

Adventure Week will also introduce new PokéStop Showcases and Collection Challenges, rewarding you with Stardust, encounters, and additional Mega Energy for Aerodactyl. The event includes five-star raids featuring Moltres, Thundurus Incarnate Forme, and Xerneas.

And don’t forget, Poplio is set to be August’s Community Day Pokémon. There's also a Classic Community Day and a special Pokémon World Championship event planned. So, gear up for an adventurous week and grab the game from the Google Play Store.
