Metal Slug: Awakening breathes new life into the iconic 90s franchise. Initially revealed in 2020 by TiMi Studios as Metal Slug Code: J, the game has undergone development and name changes, finally arriving after its Southeast Asian release in late 2023.

For the uninitiated, Metal Slug is a celebrated Japanese run-and-gun series, debuting in 1996 courtesy of Nazca Corporation. It's since expanded into a major multimedia franchise.

While Metal Slug has seen previous mobile iterations (Metal Slug Defense, Attack, and Commander), Awakening promises a significant upgrade.

The game retains the core run-and-gun gameplay, enhanced by modern graphics and innovative mechanics. Rejoin your favorite Metal Slug characters in new adventures featuring a World Adventure mode, 3-player cooperative Team-up battles, and challenging Roguelike experiences.
