What Recursive Destruction Is in Marvel Rivals & How To Trigger It in Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown
Marvel Rivals Season 1: Unlocking Recursive Destruction in Midtown
Season 1 of Marvel Rivals introduces new characters, maps, and modes, along with a fresh set of challenges offering free rewards, including a Thor skin. This guide focuses on triggering Recursive Destruction in the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown map.
What is Recursive Destruction?
The first challenge in the "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" series requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This occurs when you destroy a Dracula-influenced object, and it reappears in its original state. However, not all destructible objects will work.
Identifying Destructible Objects
To locate the correct objects, utilize Chrono Vision (keyboard "B" or console right D-pad). Only objects highlighted in red can trigger Recursive Destruction.
Completing the Challenge in Midtown
To complete this challenge, play the Quick Match (Midtown) mode. Initially, no red-highlighted objects will be available. Wait until the first checkpoint; two buildings will then appear, capable of triggering Recursive Destruction.
Strategy and Repetition
While battling opponents, target these buildings. You might not always see the objects reappear immediately due to the fast-paced gameplay, but hitting them several times should complete the objective. If unsuccessful, simply replay the match. After completing this challenge, you can move on to trying out the new characters, Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.

That's how to trigger Recursive Destruction in Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown in Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals is available now on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
