How to Respec in Avowed
Feeling frustrated with your Avowed character? Picked the wrong class? Invested in attributes you now regret? Don't worry, respeccing is possible! This guide shows you how to adjust your stats and abilities to create your ideal Avowed experience.
How to Respec Your Character in Avowed (& When You Should)
Starting a new game, it's tough to know exactly what playstyle will suit you best. Respeccing lets you fix initial mistakes or adapt your build as you progress. Whether you initially went full mage only to find yourself struggling, or want to optimize your build later in the game, respeccing is your solution. I found this particularly useful in Avowed, shifting from a pure mage to a spellsword build after realizing my initial choice wasn't working for me.
Respeccing Your Abilities

To respec your abilities, open the menu and navigate to the "Abilities" section. Near the bottom, you'll find a "Reset Points" option. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, increasing with gameplay. Select the option, confirm, and pay the price to reset all ability points across skill trees (excluding the unchangeable "Godlike" abilities acquired through in-game choices).
Respeccing Your Attributes

Happy with your abilities but not your attributes? Or perhaps you want a complete overhaul? Open the menu, go to the "Character" section, and look below the attribute names. You'll find a button and associated cost (initially 100 Copper Skeyt, increasing over time) to reset your attribute points. Click the button, pay the price, and reclaim your attribute points.
Respeccing Your Companion

Want to adjust your companion's abilities? Open the menu, navigate to "Abilities," then the "Companions" tab. Under your companion's name, you'll see a button to exchange Copper Skeyt and reset their points. Remember, you must respec each companion individually.
That's how to respec in Avowed! Enjoy crafting your perfect character.
Avowed is available now.
