Rockstar Releases Bully Anniversary Edition Update After Six Years
Rockstar, the renowned developers behind the GTA series, have just released an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile platforms. After a six-year hiatus, this update brings fresh content and enhancements exclusively to mobile users, leaving console and PC players waiting for their turn.
Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!
The Bully: Anniversary Edition update introduces support for new languages and emphasizes on stability improvements and bug fixes. Notably, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges to streamline the gaming experience.
The update also introduces Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) for Android users with compatible devices, updates the app icon, and adds haptic feedback across both platforms. Several missions have been fixed, including 'That Bitch,' where Mandy's locker was previously unpickable, 'Weed Killer,' which wouldn't progress if you broke the window prematurely, and 'The Rumble,' where police cars would fall through the floor.
Issues with enemies not attacking Jimmy, making fights feel unbalanced, have been addressed. The update also resolves crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu.
What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?
For years, fans have been clamoring for Bully 2, but Rockstar appears to be focusing elsewhere. A sequel was reportedly in development during the 2010s but was abandoned in favor of Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online. With GTA 6 currently in development, the prospects for Bully 2 seem slim, especially with many of the original developers having moved on from Rockstar. While not a full remaster or sequel, this new update is a significant enhancement for mobile players.
If you're new to Bully, it's Rockstar's unique take on a schoolyard sandbox game. You take on the role of Jimmy Hopkins, a rebellious 15-year-old navigating the trials of Bullworth Academy, complete with Rockstar's signature humor and open-world antics.
So, if you're interested, you can grab Bully: Anniversary Edition on the Google Play Store for €7.99, which also supports full gamepad functionality.
