Star Wars Celebration has unveiled our first glimpse of Rory McCann stepping into the role of Baylan Skoll for Season 2 of Ahsoka. Following the tragic passing of Ray Stevenson, who originally portrayed the character, McCann is set to continue the journey of Baylan. Although we haven't yet seen McCann in action, the Ahsoka panel at the event provided an exclusive first-look image, which you can view below.

Ray Stevenson, known for his roles in Thor, RRR, Punisher: War Zone, Rome, and other notable works, sadly passed away due to a brief illness just three months before Ahsoka's premiere. His performance as Baylan was widely regarded as a highlight of the series.

Dave Filoni, the creator of the Ahsoka series, expressed the profound impact of losing Stevenson, describing him as "the most beautiful person on screen and off." The challenge of moving forward without him was significant for the team.

During the panel, Filoni and the team also teased what fans can anticipate in Season 2, including the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, alongside beloved characters like Admiral Ackbar, Zeb, Chopper, and more.

In our review of Ahsoka's first season, we noted that the series initially struggled to bring new viewers up to speed with characters and lore from Dave Filoni's animated Star Wars shows. However, as the series progressed, it successfully blended rich lore, humor, and epic battles, capturing the essence of classic Star Wars while paving the way for new narratives.
