Resembling an extended DualSense controller with an 8-inch 1080p LCD screen, the PS Portal streams PS5 games at up to 60fps. It boasts DualSense features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, using a touchscreen instead of the DualSense touchpad. While previously requiring a PS5, a recent update allows streaming directly from PlayStation Now, giving access to over 120 games (requires the highest tier PlayStation Plus subscription).

This offers a compelling alternative to the $500 PS5 console plus individual game purchases. The $18 monthly PlayStation Plus cost becomes a more attractive proposition.

It's worth noting that home PS5 game streaming isn't exclusive to the PS Portal; the PS Remote Play app offers similar functionality on other devices. However, setup is more complex, and some DualSense features might be lost.

Despite these issues, it's currently the best solution for PlayStation Remote Play. Without those caveats, it would be a must-have for any PS5 owner who enjoys handheld gaming or competes for TV time."
