In 2020, a deeply affected Batman: Arkham Knight fan, battling schizophrenia, commissioned a short video message from Kevin Conroy through the Cameo service. Anticipating a standard 30-second greeting, he instead received over six minutes of profoundly empathetic encouragement. Conroy, touched by the fan's personal struggle, went far beyond a simple response. This unexpected act of kindness proved a lifeline for the fan during incredibly challenging times.

A moving Reddit post detailed the gamer's experience. The game's conclusion, depicting Batman's triumph over fear, paranoia, and hallucinations, resonated deeply with the fan's own fight against schizophrenia. Expressing his gratitude, he shared his story and the impact of the Dark Knight's journey with Conroy.

Expecting a typical Cameo video, the fan was overwhelmed by Conroy's extensive and supportive message.

"This video has saved me from suicide countless times," the fan wrote. "Hearing Batman say he believed in me was incredibly powerful... But as time went on, it became just as important that it was Kevin himself who believed in me."

Initially hesitant to share the video publicly, the fan ultimately decided to post it after learning of Conroy's own experience with schizophrenia within his family. He hoped it would offer comfort and inspiration to others.

"If someone in his family asks me to delete this video, I will of course do so," the fan stated. "But it has inspired me in my toughest moments, and maybe it will inspire someone else. Hang in there. Because Batman believes in you."

Sadly, Kevin Conroy, the iconic voice of Batman, passed away on November 10, 2022, at the age of 66. However, his compassionate words and enduring legacy continue to inspire countless individuals worldwide.
