Metro Quester: Osaka Pre-Registration Opens on Android
In April, KEMCO released Metro Quester, a dungeon-crawling hack-and-slash RPG. Now, they are preparing to launch its sequel, Metro Quester | Osaka. As the name suggests, the setting shifts from Tokyo to a post-apocalyptic Osaka.
Ready for another adventure?
The journey continues in Osaka, famously known as the city of water. Explore a transformed Japanese metropolis filled with destructible walls, creature lairs, hidden vaults, and food stockpiles. Collect Purification Fuel to advance and gather enough supplies to survive.
Metro Quester | Osaka offers 32 distinct characters and 8 classes, such as Detonator, Buddhist, Professor, Stealer, Scientist, Mobile Police, Officer, and Ranger.
Combat moves away from typical turn-based mechanics. You can queue up to three actions per turn if you have sufficient Action Points. Enemies can do the same and may even overlap their turns. Strategic management of your Hate level is crucial, as it determines which party member monsters will target next.
Outside of battles, scavenge for equipment dropped by foes or discovered in hidden vaults. Once acquired, you can upgrade, modify, or dismantle your gear for crafting materials.
The game features a bestiary filled with bizarre and dangerous creatures, including Beyond Inedible, Bloodsucker Bat, Viral Towering Roundleaf, Thorn Comber, Outburst Shroom, Abnormal Antlion, Caustic Flesh Wall, and Scavenger Mawshroom.
What’s New in Metro Quester | Osaka?
New additions include a canoe for navigating the city's waterways and a fresh crew of questers. A prequel map is also included, offering insights into Osaka's history before its transformation into a dungeon.
Players can now select their starting party, enhancing replayability alongside the existing NEW GAME+ mode. The game supports English and Japanese language options but does not offer controller support.
Pre-registration is available on the Google Play Store ahead of the game's scheduled release on July 31, 2025.
